Made from strictly Primitivo grapes and matured for 12 months in oak as well as appropriate bottle-ageing open this wine up to international taste. Indeed the name Saseo (”stony”) chosen for this primitivo is intended to recall the uniqueness, sunniness and strenth of the terroir that one finds in the glass. An intense ruby red, it offers scents of sour cherries, violets, liquorice and sweet spicy hints. It is velvety, warm and persistant ; a wine to sip slowly together with a substantial dish.
